Characteristics:
Grapes from Citrusdal Mountain, from the fabled terroir of the 'Skurfberg'. Half of the juice was fermented in stainless steal, half was fermented in 400 litre French oak.  The wine was left on the fine lees  for 9 months. Flavours of wild gooseberries with floral keys in finish. 60 year old bush vines. Will mature well for another 5 to 10 years. Limited production of 3007 bottles and vegan friendly.

Seafood and salads, or with sushi.

Ginny Povall is the owner of the charming Sugarbird Manor and Protea Height Farm, located in Devon Valley, 10 minutes from the cozy Stellenbosch. It features 10ha flower soil and 5ha vineyard. Ginny is a winemaker and specializes in Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir.
