Characteristics:
Port style wine made from 100% Pinotage, harvested by hand. Colour extraction was done by stomping for two days by foot in the open-air fermenters, Lagare in Portuguese, hence the name of this special cuvée. The fortification was done with pot-distilled Pinotage brandy spirit. Black colour with Burgundy rim. Aroma's of black fruit, hints of plum pudding and liquorice. Good acidity and balance with a lasting after taste. 

Food pairing:
To enjoy on its own, with fruit dessert, blue cheeses or as a digestif.
