Characteristics:
Intriguing wine with aromas of melon, pineapple, lime and a touch of honeycomb which is typical for a delicious chenin blanc. On the palate gooseberries, quince and peach. Gentle minerality in the finish. Hand-picked, 20% of the grapes were whole bunch fermented in amphora and qvevri which gives unique body and length to the wine. 12 months sur-lie.

About the winery:
Avondale is situated at the foot of the Klein Drakenstein Mountains in the picturesque Paarl Valley. Owner Johnathan Grieve is pioneering the way forward to sustainable viticulture. The grapes are biodynamically grown and the wines are all organically certified. 'Terra est vita' is their ethos. The result are naturally delicious wines!
