Characteristics:
Camissa is the Khoi San name for Table Mountain, meaning 'place of sweet water'. The image on the label refers to a fountain that once flowed at the Dolphin Pool at the Castle of Good Hope. Blend of 25% Muscat de Frontignan, 30% Mourvèdre and 45% Grenache. Naturally fermented and kept on the lees for 12 months. On the nose rose petals, scented pelargonium and fresh red fruits. Hints of Turkish delight and lemon zest attest to the perfect acidity of the wine. Dry Finish.

Perfect for appetisers, with exotic salads, or spicy oriental food with seared or grilled red meats.

About the winery:
Avondale is situated at the foot of the Klein Drakenstein Mountains in the picturesque Paarl Valley. Owner Johnathan Grieve is pioneering the way forward to sustainable viticulture.
