About the winery:
Francis Coppola bought the old Inglenook back in 1975, aiming to restore the grandeur of this historical château and to reunite the original vineyards. This was achieved in 2010. The passion of the film director and his wife are tangible everywhere. Edizione Pennino Zinfandel grapes grow in the renowned Rutherford appellation.
Francis Coppola purchased the old Inglenook in 1975 with the aim of restoring the historic château in its original form, reuniting the vineyards, and create world-class wines. The winery itself has become a stylish feast for the eyes, it is beautifully restored and hospitality a high priority. The current winemaker Philippe Bascaules previously worked at Château Margaux for many years. The Inglenook Rubicon is the top wine ... since 1978! Recognized and certified as "heritage clone" with the ame genetic material as the vines that were brought from France by Gustave Niebaum in 1880.
