Characteristics:
Crisp and refreshing 100% Glera, with aromas and flavours of ripe apples and fresh apricots. Grapes from Risano vineyard planted on clayley-limestone and sandstone. 

Food pairing:
Ideal as aperitif, but perfectly complements all courses, fish, white meat dishes, spicy and hot dishes, and vegetables. It is great with Oriental cuisine. Superbly refreshing in a Negroni Sbagliato!

About this winery:
Pighin family winery is situated in North Eastern Italy’s DOC region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Grapes are sourced from two different vineyards, in the renowned regions of Friuli Grave and Collio, which allows different wine style expressions. The Friuli Grave region named after its meager, chalky stone and gravel soils is ideal for white vine varieties. The climate, cool yet moderated by the proximity of water and the sun’s reflective effect on the stony soils, allows a long growing season to ripen the fruit well into autumn.
