Characteristics:
Hearty Sauvignon Blanc, with guava, pear and citrus. Long finish, mineral undertones and spices. This wine has the potential for bottle aging for a few years.

Food pairing:
Seafood, fish, fresh (summer) salads, vegetarian dishes, goat cheese. Lovely with (white) asparagus.

About this winery:
Peter Finlayson makes great wines in the cool region of Hermanus, near the Atlantic Ocean. In the beginning of his career, he stayed in the French Burgundy region, and became more and more passionate about Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In Hermanus, in the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde Valley he found the ideal location to build one of the most famous wine estates in South Africa in partnership with Paul Bouchard. Talented Chris Albrecht has been appointed as winemaker in the meantime.
