Characteristics:
Super elegant and refined reserve cuvée Pinot Noir. Lightly pressed and barrel matured for 16 months. Profound, complex fruity flavours with deep wild forest red berry, earthiness and full mouthed acid tannin balance
Food pairing:
Delicate and tender meats, cooked 'Rosé', like lamb, veal or goat, in natural and refined sauces. The winemaker loves it with seared salmon!
About the winery:
Peter Finlayson makes beautiful wines in the cool Hermanus region, next to the Atlantic Ocean. After a stay in the French Burgundy region early in his career, he became passionate about the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Peter is also a member of the Cape Winemakers Guild. This Guild holds an auction with exceptional cuvées annually. The proceeds go to the education of talented but disadvantaged students in viticulture and oenology.
