Characteristics:
Deep inky purple colour, scent of ripe black cherry and black currant perfume with minerally hints of mocha and chocolate, fleshy palette with perfect ripeness, a lot of texture with gentle ripe tannins and a lingering finish.
Food pairing:
Goes well with fried, stir-fried or roasted red meat and spicy sauces.

North of Paarl, on the way to Wellington, former professional golfer Marcel van der Walt makes some of the best wines of the Cape, since 1988. The family resides in the Cape since 1727 and originates from Veenwouden in Friesland. All wines represent pure class, cultural sophistication and have an exceptional ageing potential.
