Jacobsdal Estate

The winery Jacobsdal is situated near Kuils River, on the descent of the hills that look down upon False Bay, all the way in the southwest corner of the Stellenbosch wine region.

Winemaker and owner, Cornelius Dumas, now assisted by his son Hannes, makes one of the most authentic Pinotages there, on a stony soil of clay and sand. Because of good drainage, irrigation is not necessary and thanks to the cool wind from the northwest, the grapes ripen slowly. All wines are naturally fermented.
