Characteristics:
Exceptional cuvée in grape composition (Sangiovese 41%, Nebbiolo 26%, Shiraz 14%, Pinot Noir 11%, Barbera 5%, Mourvèdre 3%). Spent 12 months on French oak, 23% new. Aromas of fresh red cherry and strawberry, cedar wood, charcuterie and tobacco. Lightfooted with mouthwatering acid, zesty grip. Promises greater complexity and savouriness with age: drink now through 2035. A winner!

Food pairing:
Enjoy with red meat and italian dishes. Wonderfully versatile, and works well with Indian and other spicy cuisine.

About the winery:
Peter Finlayson makes great wines in the cool region of Hermanus, near the Atlantic Ocean. In the beginning of his career, he stayed in the French Burgundy region, and became more and more passionate about Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In Hermanus, in the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde Valley he found the ideal location to build one of the most famous wine estates in South Africa in partnership with Paul Bouchard. Talented Chris Albrecht has been appointed as winemaker in the meantime.
